I really hope the lot of you who are friends with my husband don't rely solely on this journal for contact with him. If I were you, I'd have given up long ago.

He's cooking right now, actually, a tomato chickpea soup that smells amazing and is completely vegan. We went over to visit Waggy and the Wagettes again yesterday, and little Theo is absolutely adorable. It really surprised me how much she can look like Wags and still be cute.

Since my dumbass husband is real bad at these things, I hope he told you all that I'm pregnant again. (Did he say "with child?" Because he's been saying "with child" around the house lately and I want to smack him because it sound ridiculous. Where does he get this stuff anyroad? I'd ask if it was Gideon, but that's too weird even for him.) We're also letting Imogene paint one of the walls in our kitchen, and redecorating around that. She likes it when we levitate her, though she's at the stage where we have to keep her away from our wands because she knows "Accio" and "Locomotor" a bit too well.

Con's crawling now, and starting to pull himself up to stand, though even holding on to things he only stays up for a few moments. All he wants to do is crawl around the room, but Dibbler's been over a bunch with the tramp Mindy lately and so I don't let him, so he cries. Con, not Dibbler, though I bet Dibbler would too. Mindy likes to talk about cooking with me, but she doesn't know one thing about it. I might start recording our conversations and write a book.

I think Donaghan says Popworld's going to be rescheduled for this month, so that should be fun. I like that curly-haired announcer bloke.

If you write something here, I'll tell him you say hello.

I think I want a good old-fashioned night out. England is playing Spain in footie on the 28th, but I'd rather not wait all that long. Doubt anyone cares about my Royals in their rubbish second division, (they play on the 17th) and we'd have to wait for a good match until the 24th, but we could always just go out regardless. Quidditch play-offs start soon too, right?

Better than taking up cricket, I say, though I bet Merton would like it.

Private to friends (and Laura is included).

Right. Bout time I let you all know, but we're pregnant again. A few months along, actually, but we decided not to tell until after Waggy's wedding - didn't want to steal their thunder or anything, especially since it was a bit of a surprise.

Good surprise though.

Why the fuck did no one tell me what it's like to have a three-year-old the day before Christmas? Can't wait until Moe is six and Con is three. These past two weeks have been real hectic as well - just lucky that Mam and Emily's parents have been so great about minding the kids. Think we only had to get an outside minder once, and that was just ickle Laura Madley.

Emily's sister and her family came in from Canada this afternoon, and we celebrated Christmas at the Stuart's. Her son Nick is two and a half, and when Greg (Emily's brother-in-law) went downstairs in the morning, he found Nick staring at their telly. Which was off. So Greg asked Nick what was wrong, and Nick pointed at the tree. "What's over there?" and Nick just pointed again. "Nick, I don't see what you're pointing at." Finally Becky (Em's sister) came downstairs and he was still staring at the blank telly and after about thirty minutes she figured it out.

Guess Nick thought that TODAY was Christmas and that jolly old St. Nick didn't come because he was a bad boy. Poor kid - didn't even cry. He was just so sad.

Mam and Kirl came with the us and the Stuarts to the church for evening service. Con wouldn't. Though he'd have gotten over all this by now the bastard's still not talking to me. Tells Mam he's only around this holiday for her and the kids. His own fucking ruddy fault though. Tosser won't speak to Kirl either.

Still, the service was real nice. Lots of candles and my two favourite hymns. Choir sang the first one, Mary Did You know? and we all sang What Child is This?. Sang other hymns too, of course - think Kirl's favourite is Little Drummer Boy. Moe couldn't calm down though, dancing in the aisles and getting real rowdy, so I had to make her sit on my lap until she calmed down and she pouted until we got home.

Merton's party's right after Boxing Day. Really looking forward to it. Gid, has Aileen got Ada that day or have you got to get a child-minder? Want to get one together to make things easier?

Think Moe's asleep now - time to go play Santa. Happy Christmas to you all!

There was NO slut in Swansea. Gideon DIDN'T see me with two underage girls in Dundee. Don't ruddy care if he IS brassed at me, he wouldn't go talking to the tabs about anything ever, so you can all shut your gobs. Haven't even been to Swansea in ages.

Can't ruddy figure out how they've got my mobile number, either. Keep calling to ask if we've broken up, so after telling number four that no, we're not and no, we don't plan to anytime soon, I gave the damn thing to Dibbler and told him he's got to get rid of all the messages or no Christmas bonus. Wonder if he'll be able to figure it out - he's had one for a year now and still manually dials all our numbers.

Oi, rock stars!

Have you lot got Giant Squid tattoos? Do you feel more likely to be mates with someone who has got a Giant Squid tattoo than hasn't?

This is real important, so if you can get back to me pronto, I'd be greatful.

Con's finally over his cold, which is real good, though Kirl's come down with it now. Likely not from Con, but it's been going around everywhere. That time of year and all.

Finally signed the contract signed for the children's album Kirl, Waggy, and I are doing. Nice to see it actually getting off the ground rather being "that thing we'd like to do." It'll all happen real quick too, because we wanted this out before Christmas and the negotiations took so ruddy long that we're going to have to rush on this, but it shouldn't be too much of a big deal, since it's a bit easier than a Weird Sisters album. Couldn't let Dibbler take care of any of it either, since he's the our manager just for the Weird Sisters, not for things like this. That was probably half the hold up, even.

We'll be in the studio starting Tuesday, should have everything recorded by Sunday, and then there's just mixing and it should hopefully be out before Christmas. Album artwork's all set and all, since we've been waiting on this for so long we just did all that before.

Only thing we need now is a name or something. I still think we just use our own names, since this is just a three-best-mates-since-Hogwarts doing an album together thing. And Wags, please tell me you don't want to call it "Songs for Bairns," please.

Hexed to people Donnie has talked to before (meaning, no random fans)

Heading to America again on Tuesday night for some publicity on our Muggle Album. Just glad Dibbler managed it where we don't have to go by Muggle aeroplane. Thank Salazar. Bet the bastard Confunded them or something. Let's give him a raise.

Show on Wednesday's called "Total Request Live," and I've never even heard of it. Apparently popular with the ickle kids - bet Merton's a big fan. The host's called Carson Daly and apparently he wears nail-polish. No, you're not allowed to shag him. He's American anyway, you might catch something.

Speaking of shagging, we've got 5 hotel rooms booked for Tuesday and Wednesday night - two to a room and the last is for the Dibblers. Yes, Mindy's coming too oh joy.

I call Kirl.

Kirl, Moe, anyone, want to go to the pub?

Con's real talkative lately. He's four months old yesterday and it's still hard to believe but real hard to remember what it was like before he was around. He can stand up a little if we hold him up and can roll over too. He's started pulling hair, which Emily's not too fond of but Imogene laughs about. She just loves to hold her little brother, too, and he turns to look at her whenever she's talking.

It'll be a handful for Em when I have to go to New York though. Dibbler says they're working to reschedule the Muggle music video we're shooting there and then we'll be on an episode of some television show, TLR or whatnot. Dibbler's wife's all excited for it, I hear. Been to New York before, but this time it'll be... real different.

Oi and Waggy, Emily says she hopes you remember the threat she made a few years back. She's got the baseball bat ready.

Sep. 2nd, 2007

Just laid Con down for a nap, so I've got a moment to spare. Imogene's been a real pill all day, keeps telling us she wants "Un-cah Kir" and "MOE" to come over again. Good thing we live close or I'd never hear the end of it. Real cute, if she wasn't trying to steal my wand to use as her conductor's baton for her orchestra of dolls.

So Kirl, you think she'll be old enough for Cropredy next year? We could just take her to see Fairport, even. Girl needs to be exposed to good music real young. Doubt Em would want me to make it any longer, really, though if Eliza Carthy Band plays again she'll insist we take her to that. Think that was Em's favourite. Sounds fine to me, since everyone takes their kids.

(Private to friends who are Not Meaghan, Augustus, Waggy, or Tonks)

Right. Should we put some money on which of them will tie the knot first? Could be interesting.
